Role and Responsibilities of the Forklift Operator
- Plan ahead all activities to reduce downtime.
- Follow the company GMP s.
- Take instructions from leadership
- Operating the efficient running of production
- Maintain time and production records
- Troubleshoot problem areas and develop solutions.
- Maintain clean and safe working environment.
- Comply with Company Policies and Procedures.
- Position requires basic mechanical aptitude.
- Must have good attendance and safety record.
- Ability to regularly stand, walk, climb, reach and use hands to feel objects, tool and controls.
- Accurate and timely completion of required documentation to enable clear traceability.
- Communicate and update all relevant parties of any issues or changes.
- Communicate an end of shift breakdown / Hand-off to the next shift.
- Any other tasks deemed reasonable and reasonably requested by management.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements of the Forklift Operator
- 1 year of manufacturing experience preferably in the food industry
- Experience working in temperature-controlled settings (30-45 degrees)
- Proven track record in safe working practices
- Excellent interpersonal skills needed for working in a team environment
- Ability to work all scheduled shifts, on time
- Ability to operate a pallet jack / fork lift
- Must be able to read and write English.
