Material Handler
Chelsea, MA
$14.75 per hour
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Material Handler
- Adhere to safe working practices at all times
- Perform daily checks of area for non-compliance and report them
- Ensure finished product conforms to specifications o Manufacture products efficiently within time and quantity parameters
- Follow the company GMP s
- Show a positive attitude and a leadership mentality for all employees
- Ensure clean and tidy production area at all times
- Communicate and update all relevant parties of any issues or changes (low yields, etc.)
- Monitor and action all waste
- Any other tasks deemed reasonable and reasonably requested by management
- Must collect all the necessary product needed for the day production out of the warehouse and place in a Designated area procedure
- Ask for approval if there are any questions about the ingredients specify in the order
- Work with the lead of the rooms to ensure the right product goes to the proper rooms in a timely mater
Qualification and Experience Requirements of the Material Handler
- Ability to work all scheduled shifts, on time
- Excellent interpersonal skills needed for working in a team environment
- Proven track record in safe working practices
- Experience working in temperature controlled settings
- Able to interact and communicate with team members
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Passion for food and high standards
- Excellent attention to detail
- Numeracy skills
- Must be able to read and write English
