Job Duties and Responsibilities of the Forklift Operator / Pallet Jack
- Warehouse receiving, inventory put away, order picking, packaging for shipping, inventory cycle counting
- Communicate with other employees
- Follow a daily work plan, set goals, use of time and resources to ensure success for the department.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures and regulations.
- Will be required to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to work flexible schedules
Requirements of the Forklift Operator / Receiving
- High school diploma, general education degree or equivalent working experience
- Must have forklift and receiving experience
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be flexible and able to manage multiple tasks, priorities and easily adapt to change.
- Must understand multicultural personnel and get along with others in a team environment.
- Must be proactive, and have organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Must have good attendance history and a positive attitude.
- Experience in a production environment is a plus.
- Equipment operations, including forklift, drum tool, hand tool, hoist, pump and scale operations
- Off-load bulk tankers
- Receive, ship, store and distribute raw materials and finished goods
- Work safely when performing job responsibilities
- Must be able to climb ladders and stairs
- Must have sufficient dexterity and strength to operate process equipment such as valves, pumps, switches, etc.
- Must be able to read and understand process batch sheets containing product process directions and safety precautions
- Must be able to write legibly and record results accurately
- Required to stand up to 90% of working day with frequent walking, intermittent stopping and bending while operating equipment, drumming, etc.
Job Qualifications of the Material Handler / Pallet Jack
- Good math and communication skills
- Ability to read and write English
- Must be able to lift and stack 50-60 lbs
- Forklift driving experience required
- High school diploma or equivalent
