JOB SUMMARY
The Production Lead oversees all shift employees, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, efficiency, and housekeeping standards. This role includes training personnel and enforcing company policies and procedures to meet production goals.
JOB DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS of the Production Lead
- Supervise all personnel and operations on shift, including daily coordination with incoming/outgoing shift Leads and Supervisors.
- Perform package and product changeovers, monitor raw and promotional material usage, and maintain low-cost, high-quality production practices.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of all production processes and equipment.
- Follow and enforce all company policies, procedures, safety standards, and quality assurance guidelines.
- Enforce the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and all safety standards.
- Quality and Production Standards: Ensure production meets daily quality and quantity standards, adhering to Food Safety and GMP policies.
- Maintain frequent communication with employees to prevent errors and provide ongoing training, including coding, recycling, housekeeping, and personal skill development.
- Facilitate and collaborate with other departments as needed.
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of production processes and equipment
- Commitment to safety and quality standards
- Ability to train and support a team effectively
A Must Have:
- Must be able to work 2nd or 3rd shift
- Manufacturing Experience
- Experience in Packaging & Product Changeover
