Packing Machine Operator
Haverhill, MA
$18.00 to $20.00 per hour depending on experience
Start Time 10AM: Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (Saturday and Tuesday off)
* MUST BE ABLE TO read and understand basic English
The Packing Machine Operator will be running the correct program for product being run on the Hartman packing machine, full training available for those who wants to learn and be part of our team:
- Must be able to read and understand basic English
- Run the correct program on the metal detector and test
- Check the printer to make sure correct label is on tags
- Manage 3 line workers
- 2 loading the bread into the correct lanes at beginning of machine
- 1 loading packaged bags into tray and stacking trays
- Need to read the machine screen whenever machine stops to see where the problem is
- If it is not a common error on the screen call for a mechanic
- Whenever there's machine stoppages collect bread at end of conveyor in white trays to pack later when we have a break
- Fill out the reports (metal detector log sheet)
- Set the machine and do adjustments (manually)
- Keep moving in between all line and help when needed (stacker and loaders)
- Move trays from and to the stacker table
