Purpose of the Production Lead
To take accountability for the accurate processing and food safety of the product. Handle products to the correct standard in terms of throughput and technical compliance. Using the correct materials at the correct specification for all production runs.
Role Requirements of the Production Lead
- Ensure you and your coworkers are in a safe work environment.
- Report injuries, accidents, near misses or unsafe conditionsAs Line Operative, you will work to maximize productivity and quality at all times.
- You will focus on producing products that meet the agreed cost, quality and time standards.
Job Responsibilities of the Production Lead
- Perform any task assigned at the assembly line
- Portion ingredients using cup or scoop, accurately and efficiently
- Place ingredient in the designated area on final product
- Work in harmony with others
- Follow USDA sanitation procedures, GMPs, and food safety rules
- Comply with Company policy regarding employee breaks and lunches
- Approve required training and cross-training to ensure quality, safety and productivity
- Full compliance with company GMP s and safety policies, including use of Personal Protective Equipment
- Ensure product is produced accordingly to customer specifications
- Additional duties as required
Qualifications of the Production Lead
- Numerical and written accuracy with attention to detail
- Basic English language skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to follow instructions
- Willingness to up skill and progress with in the department
- Previous experience of working in a fast-paced environment
