Job Description


*Position: Shipping & Receiving Loader
Location: Peabody, MA
Payrate: $21 to $26 per hour (DOE)
Shift*: 1st Shift

A Must:

Requires strong attention to detail and checking orders before accurately loading trucks

Accurate paperwork compliance, scanning and sorting incoming and outgoing stock, and solid knowledge of receiving procedures, including lot assignment and internal records procedures.

Every position may involve pulling, pushing, or lifting up to 75 lbs and that the warehouse is a very cold environment.

*Qualifications of the Shipping & Receiving Loader*
  • Previous experience in warehouse, shipping, and receiving roles, preferably in distribution or manufacturing environments
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
  • Capability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods
  • Comfortable working in varying temperature conditions, including cold storage environments
  • Proficient in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, stand-up jacks, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills with a sense of urgency
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to work independently and within a team

*Responsibilities of the Shipping & Receiving Loader*

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized *Shipping & Receiving Loader* to efficiently and accurately load and unload shipments. This role is crucial in ensuring that all products are handled with care, meeting quality standards and safety regulations.

*Key Responsibilities of the Shipping & Receiving Loader*
  • Accurately load and unload shipments, ensuring careful handling of products
  • Follow verbal instructions in a fast-paced environment under the supervision of an immediate supervisor
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Adhere to health, sanitation, GMP, and USDA regulations as outlined in the Employee Handbook and company policies
  • Receive meat products into the company, including lot assignment and internal records management
  • Verify orders to invoicing before accurately loading trucks and signing off on paperwork
  • Maintain accurate reporting of daily moves, scanning inventory, and ensuring accurate counts
  • Engage positively with vendors and drivers
  • Scan, sort, and manage incoming and outgoing stock with proper paperwork compliance
  • Receive, stock, and stack products appropriately
  • Safely load and unload products into company and vendor trucks
  • Stack pallets in coolers and freezers safely
  • Communicate effectively with managers, drivers, and personnel
  • Maintain clean coolers and warehouse/loading areas
  • Ensure trucks are cleaned inside and out, removing any meat drippings or debris
